Pumpkin Space Latte anyone? Creamy clouds against burnt oranges and deep reds reminiscent of a classic Autumn treat - this fall scape fit for the stars is actually an image of Australia captured from the @iss by astronaut Scott Kelly. Welcome to the new age of spaceflight. 🚀⁣ ⁣ On Nov. 14, NASA astronauts Victor Glover, Mike Hopkins, and Shannon Walker are scheduled to lift off aboard the SpaceX Crew Dragon! The crew mates, alongside astronaut Soichi Noguchi of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (@jaxajp), will dock their Crew Dragon spacecraft named “Resilience” to the International Space Station (@iss) for a six-month stay. Once there, they will perform space station upgrades, conduct science experiments to benefit life on Earth, and continue preparing humanity for future missions to the Moon -- and eventually Mars. Get on board. It's #LaunchAmerica time! ⁣ ⁣ Credit: NASA⁣ ⁣ #SpaceX #Astronauts #CheckingIn #SpaceAge #LetsGo

Watch Out for the Night 😱 Two empty spacesuits seemingly collude as most of the astronauts slept aboard the @iss. This scene looks a lot like every spooky sci-fi movie you've ever seen. European Space Agency astronaut Alexander Gerst snapped a number of images of the station at night during his first stay on the orbital laboratory in 2014. During his second stay, he served as Space Station Commander. Image Credit: Alexander Gerst/ESA #NASA #EuropeanSpaceAgency #AlexanderGerst #SpaceStation #Spacesuit #Spooky #NASAHalloween

🐉 Crew Dragon Resilience has ARRIVED.⁣ ⁣ In just seven days (Nov. 14) this spacecraft will launch atop a @SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket carrying @nasaastronauts Michael Hopkins, Victor Glover, and Shannon Walker, along with Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (@jaxajp) astronaut Soichi Noguchi to the space station (@iss) for a six-month science mission. ⁣The launch marks the first fully certified crew rotation flight of a commercial space vehicle, making it the first of regular flights for our Commercial Crew Program.⁣ ⁣ The Crew Dragon seen here for the NASA @SpaceX Crew-1 mission arrived at @nasakennedy on Thursday, Nov. 5, after making the trek from its processing facility at nearby Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.⁣⁣ ⁣ 🚀 Are you ready? Watch live NASA TV coverage of this historic mission starting at 3:30 p.m. EST (8:30 p.m. UTC) on Nov. 14. Liftoff is scheduled for 7:49 p.m. EST (12:49 a.m. UTC). ⁣ ⁣ Credit: SpaceX⁣ ⁣ #LaunchAmerica #SpaceX #LetsDoThis #Dragon

Take a deep breath. ✨⁣ ⁣ In this @NASAHubble image, galaxy UGCA 193 appears to host many young stars, especially in the lower portion of this view, creating a striking blue haze and the sense that the stars are falling from “above.”⁣ ⁣ The blue color of UGCA 193 indicates the stars that we see are hot — some more than six times hotter than our Sun. Cooler stars appear to our eyes as redder, and hotter stars appear bluer. A star’s surface temperature and color are also linked to its mass, with heavier stars “burning” at higher temperatures, resulting in a blue glow from their surfaces.⁣ ⁣ Credit: ESA/Hubble & NASA, R. 🤔 Who makes you laugh the most? Best advice for your first spaceflight? Get to know the four crew members from @NASAAstronauts & @JAXAjp launching on NASA's @SpaceX Crew-1 mission to the @ISS. The astronauts who will fly on the Crew Dragon 'Resilience' are trained up and ready to go. After many months of work together (for some of them, years) they know each other pretty well, so we asked them to prove it. Have a look as Michael Hopkins, Victor Glover, Shannon Walker and Soichi Noguchi talk about what they’re expecting from life on the space station, and share their advice for the one among them who has never been there before.
