Hypomania and how to deal with itWhen I’m hypomanic it feels like being on a big high, like when you are on drugs I think.But hypomania is not just euphoria-it also can be uttered as irritability or aggressions.1.When I recognise the warning signs and symptoms of a hypomanic phase I immediately start talking to my family and friends about it and please them to tell me if I misbehave or behaving weird. 2.I try to reduce caffeine, when I am so that I don’t get more energetic.3.I try to keep daily routines (regular sleeping times and meals) to stay stable. 4. I try not buy unnecessary stuff and avoid online shopping. So I don’t get financially ruined.5.I don’t drink alcohol or try to avoid any kind of substances- so i don’t get more manic.
